Youth action teams
Here at Surrey vinvolved young people are at the forefront of everything we do, which is why it is important they are directly influencing our work. We have established 2 youth action teams to work directly with us to ensure that the work we are doing is relevant to young people today.
We are always looking for new members to come with their own ideas to help promote vinvolved and youth volunteering, to set up projects and make a positive difference in the community we live in.
If you are volunteering, would like to have your say, and get involved in local youth action with support and developing links with like-minded people, then complete the attached form or contact us and we’ll love to have you board, making a difference together!
A few skills you gain from being part of the YAT!
•organisation skills: organise local events, team meetings and social events
•leadership: opportunity to take the lead in meetings, plan & lead events!
•Communication: with members from all walks of life, the YAT is a great opportunity to interact with different people!
•Fundraising: have the opportunity to apply for funding to run an project or hold an event. You can develop skills in writing grant making applications and making successful funding bids.
•Make your ideas happen: Our YAT’s have designed our hoodies and wrist bands. If you have an idea about raising the profile of Surrey vinvolved, then we will help you make it reality.
