How we work with Organisations
Surrey vinvolved functions as a recruitment and brokerage service, acting as the liaison between young people and organisations.
Working in partnership with the Surrey Volunteer Centre Network, we are specifically funded to work with the 16-25 year age group, developing existing and new volunteering opportunities to enhance young people’s volunteering experience.
We also encourage youth-led volunteering activity, and seek to find organisations where these initiatives can be realised.
Working with Organisations, Charities and Statutory Bodies
Surrey vinvolved is a partnership body existing to resource organisations and charities across the county with young volunteers.
It is a part of a government initiative to promote youth volunteering amongst 16-25 year olds, increasing the quantity, quality and diversity of volunteering by facilitating the creation of more youth-friendly volunteering opportunities. We offer volunteers one-off projects, week to week placements or longer term volunteering opportunities, within local voluntary and community organisations.
Between April 2008 and January 2010, Surrey vinvolved has worked in partnership with over 240 organisations in Surrey, registering over 5400 volunteering opportunities and placing over 2100 young people into volunteering.
