Working with Organisations, Charities and Statutory Bodies

Surrey vinvolved has worked in partnership with the Surrey Volunteer Centre Network to resource organisations and charities across the county. Specifically funded to work with the 16-25 year age group, Surrey vinvolved has developed existing and new volunteering opportunities to enhance young people’s volunteering experience.

Between April 2008 and March 2011, Surrey vinvolved has worked in partnership with over 330 organisations in Surrey, registering over 8000 volunteering opportunities and recognised over 2200 young people involved in volunteering.

As of 31 March 2011, the Surrey Volunteer Centre Network will be continuing to register charities, organisations and their opportunities for volunteers for 16-25 year olds. Volunteer Centres advertise in various means, including online and printed distributions, as well as volunteering fairs and through college/university engagement.
