Young music fans experienced a live gig to raise funds for two Woking-based charities at the end of last month.

Music enthusiasts benefitted from a line-up of 5 local bands during the night on Friday 26 February, with a chance to enjoy other entertainment such as Guitar Hero, and food.

Woking Ypod staged the gig night, raising over £400 for Woking YMCA and Woking Hospice, the evening supported by the youth volunteering organisation Surrey vinvolved.

David Chorlton, (22) a Surrey vinvolved youth volunteer said, “we hosted this night because we wanted young people to enjoy a great night and actively support 2 important charities.

“In addition, there was also opportunity for them to find out about and get involved in other youth volunteering events in the local area.”

The gig took place at Woking YMCA on Friday 26 February from 6pm-9pm.
