Volunteers help make Redhill Music Festival Happen
Fifteen vinvolved volunteers took part in preparations and helped raise money for Oxfam at the two day Redhill Oxjam Music Festival, Redfest, in July
Redfest, the South of England’s largest unsigned independent music festival, was attended by over 1,000 people, many of whom camped out overnight.
Vinvolved volunteers from Redhill and Reigate worked hard during the lead up to Redfest, designing the programme, flyering the local area and communities and selling tickets. They were then on hand to run games and activities during the festival to raise money for Oxjam, as well as help clear up afterwards. Their contribution helped raise a total of over £800
Volunteers worked on site from ‘The Oxjam Village’, which included a dedicated stage which ran with acoustic music until 2am.
Oxjam attracts volunteers for it's uniqueness in music and entertainment. It is very likely that this event will be repeated in June 2010, so if this sort of thing is of interest to you, why not volunteer then?
